Please join Friends of ACU Library for a captivating evening of pictorial stories about Abilene in the 1950s and ’60s. Jay Moore will guide his audience on a fascinating journey through Abilene’s transformation into the city we know today.
Moore is a native Abilenian and producer of a popular series of documentaries on local history, and the author of Abilene History in Plain Sight. In 2013, he was selected as an Outstanding Teacher of the Humanities for the State of Texas and as the Texas VFW Secondary Teacher of the Year for 2014.
Please consider sponsoring a table for eight at this event to support creation of the Brown Library’s Reading Commons, which is a book gallery and centrally-located reading room promoting awareness and enjoyment of new and recommended literature, with inviting spaces for small group and individual use.
